The editor is now a fully fledge Markdown editor and still has support for images (only if uploaded through the editor) and videos (from Vimeo or YouTube).

If you have any questions or experiencing problems with the editor(s) please let me know. You may have to hit CTRL+F5 before you see the new editor.

Hi Tom,

Sorry for the late note but the C4 meeting was a bit later than I wanted. In the past year we have not yet had any images or video's on the company pages. We do not see a use for it at this moment so if this eases your situation please do so. For now, thanks so much for your help!

Hi Maiko,

I have updated all company pages and vacancies to fix the broken HTML.

Please note that during this conversion some of the formatting has been lost as this is not supported by our current renderer. This includes images and YouTube/Vimeo videos. However, they will appear as links in the text. I am still looking at how we can make sure videos and images are properly rendered for these pages.

Hi Maiko,

Thank you for letting me know about this. The original intention of the vacancy pages was to allow for a bit more freedom to companies w.r.t. the content posted. This includes things like (GEWIS-hosted) images and external videos (YT, Vimeo). Unfortunately, this wish and our new processor are not compatible.

I have to think about a good solution because we cannot just re-use the activity creation editor as it does not allow for images or videos to be specified. If you and C4 believe that images/videos are not necessary in the vacancy descriptions also let me know because in that case I can simply change the editor.

Dear ABC,

I have an issue that all pages are still in HTML, following the update you made for the activities (which I really like btw). However, this is not yet implemented for the career admin page, nor for the career front-end page.
example: https://gewis.nl/en/career/company/prodrivetechnologies/vacancies/front-end-software-developer-eindhoven
Therefore, I have 2 questions:

1. Is it possible to have the same box like the activity box, that way I can more easily upload and edit text for the page. Right now, I go to the activity creation, format the text in there and then copy the RAW text to the career box.
2. Is it possible to automatically format the current HTML to the new way of working or should C4 and I manually format all these pages?
   

Thanks in advance, once again, thank you for making the new box, it will definitely save me a lot of time and effort in the future!
