Qua feedback heb ik een beetje rondgevraagd ook in onze vergadering, zo zijn er enkele punten naar boven gekomen: * Voor heel veel studenten was het zeer positief en high-level genoeg zodat mensen makkelijk konden volgen en waren velen geïnspireerd door je verhaal en over je eigen bedrijf beginnen. * Voor sommige master studenten was het niet technisch genoeg, ze hadden graag jullie technieken gezien of hoe jullie specifiek programmeren bijvoorbeeld. * Je timing was perfect en veel studenten waren heel blij dat ze nog vragen konden stellen. Hopelijk kun je ook wat met deze feedback, wij waren in ieder geval ontzettend blij met de lezing! Dear organs of GEWIS, Recently you have started to receive notifications with subject "Microsoft 365 security: You have messages in quarantine" from "quarantine [at] messaging.microsoft.com". Those messages are not spam messages. You do not have to report those as spam; these are TU/e's equivalent of our quarantine for which you receive notifications from cbc-spamnotify(a)gewis.nl. If you don't want to release a message, you can simply delete it. We are working with LIS to see whether we can merge this quarantine into our quarantine, so you can set your preferences yourself and release messages yourself. In the meantime, if you need a message released from TU/e quarantine, please forward the notification to cbc(a)gewis.nl and ask us to release the message. You can not sign in yourself (since your @gewis.nl account does not exist in Microsoft 365). Dear organs of GEWIS, The option Calendar for Q3 has opened. It will remain open *until the 24th of December*. There are a few important things in the option calendar already. First of all, Monday February 5th there will be FSEten, which means that board members of all study associations will come by GEWIS to have dinner. This evening you cannot organize an activity that takes place in the GEWIS room. An Activity outside the GEWIS room is still possible. That same week is also the *Wervingsdagen Career Street*. This event lasts from *12:00 until 14:00* Monday through Thursday. You cannot organize anything during that time, but outside of those hours you can. March 5th and 6th *Wervingsdagen *organizes the*Career expo*. This event lasts from *09:00 until 17:00*. This means you can only organize an activity in the evening. The week after that, *ATHENA* celebrates their 10th birthday by organizing activities during their *lustrum week* in the evening. If you want to organize something during the lunch of afternoon, do contact them before, to check if it clashes in any way with their activities. The idea is that the ticket system is only used for specific tasks that need to be assigned to someone and you and Maiko will keep track of the tasks. Bartjan is going to implement it for you in the following way: There will be an email address gesupport-c4(a)gewis.nl which will be the department email in GESUPPORTAdditionally, emails to webprofile(a)gewis.nl need to be automatically created as well and assigned to the Webprofile topic. The webprofile group will be created as a team so they receive a notification when there is a new ticket.An aditional topic Other will be created for other tasks. If you need more, you will let us know. The C4 members will be added to GESUPPORT so they can see the tickets and claim them. One more question, we have due dates/reminders set up for 1 and 2 workweeks. These privileges will expire on December 2, 2023 at 23:59. I am very confident that this will not go wrong in the future, but to be sure, we have built in a six-month transition period. I expect Jort has already told you a bit about this, but here's the full rundown: - all privileges get an expiration date, however, this is just a safe-guard not something you or C4 should depend upon, - for the next 6 months that expiration date is only 1 month into the future, - so to make sure everyone keeps their privileges I expect a list of all C4 members every month, and - after 6 months the expiration date will be extended to 3 months (I expect this will then be synchronised with the quarters of the association year). If people leave or join C4 in the meantime, you should use the 'ABC+CBC / Permission request' form, available at https://support.gewis.nl/open.php?topicId=71, to let us know about this (SO to Rink for making this possible). Use the subject to let us know whether the company admin permission should be added or removed. Select 'Member account' and provide their membership number. For the permission, only select 'GEWISWEB - Company Admin'. You should not provide any other information. So to summarise; for the next 6 months we expect to receive an overview of who is in C4 every month, after that it will be quarterly. For each individual change, always fill in the form so that the rights can be granted/removed 'immediately'. --- The reason that none of this is automated, either through LDAP or GEWISDB is that there is no guarantee the committee 'data' stays the same. For example, you may decide yet again to change the name of the committee (C4 -> €4 -> C4) or its identifier may change. The ABC-GEWIS Website team has limited staff, which makes it difficult to keep track of those kind of things (the same reason I do not change the permissions myself when I am reading the minutes of a BM), so that is why this is not automated on the website. Furthermore, these permissions allow people to effectively deface the GEWIS website as they can edit pages. So these permissions should be strictly checked and enforced.
